Thomas Erdin

Thomas Erdin has more than 30 years experience in international banking and finance with a primary focus in private banking for high net worth individuals. He has worked in Zurich and London at Swiss Volksbank (today Credit Suisse), Citicorp/Citibank, and S.G. Warburg Bank. From 1999 – 2006, Thomas worked at HSBC Private Bank (Suisse) SA, as a relationship manager carrying the rank of Director.
His experience includes over ten years as a foreign exchange dealer, and in 1998/99, he served as head of the foreign exchange desk of Republic National Bank (Suisse) SA Zurich, today HSBC Private Bank (Suisse) SA. His areas of specialization include equities, bonds, and precious metals.

René Weber

René Weber has more than 30 years experience in international banking and finance, of which seventeen was spent in discretionary asset management and advisory services. He worked at Credit Suisse in various locations during seventeen years.
After three years in client relationship management, he served as head of the discretionary portfolio management of the branch in Schaffhausen and afterwards of the region “North East Switzerland”. Thereafter he became portfolio manager at Credit Suisse Asset Management in New York for more than two years. Later he set up the advisory desk at Credit Suisse in Singapore, at the beginning for the branch in Singapore, later for the whole Asia Pacific region. At the same time he became head of the local portfolio management.
In 1999 he started as head of asset management in Zurich at Republic National Bank of New York, today HSBC Private Bank (Suisse) SA, carrying the rank of Director. René served as a voting member of the investment committee of HSBC Private Bank (Suisse) SA, Switzerland.

Harald Giger
Director

Harald Giger has started his bank career in 1982 at Spar-und Leihkasse Pfäffikon in Pfäffikon. 1986 he worked at S.G. Warburg Soditic AG in Zurich in securities back office. 1990 he changed to bond trading. 1996 he became authorized officer.
1997 Harald started in the Investment Advisory Team of HSBC Private Bank (formerly S.G. Warburg Soditic and Republic National Bank) Zurich. 2003 he was appointed vice president.
Until 2012 he was looking after Private Clients and External Asset Managers at HSBC Private Bank in security trading. Over the years he specialized in bond trading and deepened his knowledge in all markets.
2012 he started at Bank J. Safra Sarasin in Zurich as account manager for External Asset Managers. 2014 after 29 years of banking career, Harald has decided to join EW Asset Management AG.

Kurt Schöb
Consultant and member of our allocation committee

Kurt's education began in 1965 at the Swiss bankers association (SBV) in St. Gallen. During the following years he worked for the bankers association at places in Switzerland and New York (4 years).
In 1990 and for the next 10 years, Kurt moved to Credit Suisse. He spent 1994-1995 in NY for Credit Suisse and during this time he was the head asset/portfolio manager. In 2000 Kurt worked at Bank Sarasin Basel and since 2003 until 2013 retirement, he was the CIO of Vaudoise Assurances Lausanne. Since retirement, Kurt has been active with both consulting and executing various board of director mandates.
EWAM values Kurt's years of experience in finance, especially his time spent both in private wealth management as well as in institutional portfolio and asset management.
He was both on the board of directors at "Swiss Financial Analysts Federation" and served on the Allocation Committee to the Swiss Insurance Association for many years.
His duties as bank manager, finance analyst, portfolio manager, financial planner and strategist has given him broad knowledge in the field of finance.
We value his inputs to the EW Asset Management allocation and investment strategy.
